The primary focus was on enhancing the dramatic lighting, adding intense atmospheric effects, and sharpening the details of the Colosseum to bring the gladiator "Lucy" to life.

Starting from the original anime broadcast screenshot to capture the exact pose, proportions, and energy of the scene.
Phase 1: Linework & Environment Building
Structure & Inking
Rebuilding the character with crisp vector outlines, followed by constructing the intricate architecture and the massive crowd of the Colosseum background.
Phase 2: Base Colors & Core Shading
Color Blocking
Establishing the flat color palette for the character and introducing the initial shadows to build volume.
Phase 3: Contrast & Atmosphere
Depth & Details
Shifting the background to a dramatic greyscale to make the character pop instantly. Adding ground dust and deeper, more defined shading to the gladiator armor and cape.
Final Lighting & Effects
The completed artwork, featuring intense, stylized lighting, a starry/sparkling atmospheric overlay, and deep, vibrant contrasts to finalize the epic gladiator aesthetic.
