A complete custom Itasha wrap commission featuring the popular VTuber Shirakami Fubuki from Hololive, tailored specifically for a 7th Generation Toyota Celica. This case study breaks down the design pipeline—from the initial blank vehicle to high-fidelity vector illustration, precise template scaling, and the final large-format print application.
Blueprint & Vector Templating. Print-ready 2D layout scaling precise character graphics and die-cut decals to the vehicle's dimensions.
The Vector Process: To ensure crisp, flawless scaling for automotive printing, all character art, mascots, and background elements were built entirely as high-resolution vectors. The composition utilizes halftone dot gradients, fluid geometric waves, and Fubuki's signature cyan and white palette to create a sense of motion that complements the Celica's aerodynamic profile.
Design Challenge: The client's vehicle featured an aggressive aftermarket body kit. The design needed to flow naturally across the custom side skirts and bumpers without losing critical character details or typography.
The final installed wrap. Translating digital anime illustration into a tactile, large-format physical medium requires precision pre-press preparation. The final result is a vibrant, seamless mobile showcase that perfectly mirrors the 2D layout.
